There are currently over 25 different resorts on Disney Property. Throughout these resorts everything is labeled as Value, Moderate, Deluxe, or Deluxe Villa and each room has different levels of uniqueness. I have not had the luxury (yet) to visit all the Disney Resorts, but this list will be based on the ones I have seen in person, either through staying or just resort hopping. I have seen and visited 7 out of the 25 different resort. On my upcoming trip in February, I will be adding 2 more to this list…Port Orleans. We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, but we can walk over and visit Port Orleans-French Quarter. We are also planning to go to the campgrounds for my friend. She has a deep connection with the campground, so we will be having dinner at Trails End mid-way through the week. This list will be based on the resorts I have currently seen or visited. Each different resort has a different theme. I will be doing my rating based on appearance alone, and not by the hotel classifications. This will be a 2 part series with the second being released later in the week.

#7: Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR for abbreviation)

The Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderate level resort with themed pirate rooms. When you arrive at the Caribbean beach resort, you are transported to the Caribbean based on the style of design of the resort. Right above CBR is going to be the newest form of transportation at Disney World the skyliner. My pro for CBR is the skyliner. This tool of transportation really took Disney to the next level. This will be a common theme in some of my rankings.

#6: Grand Floridian (GF for abbreviation)

The Grand Floridian is a Deluxe resort on the monorail line. The theme of GF is an over-the-top resort with elegant detail. It is a Victorian style and has many different amenities. One of the amenities within the resort is the Enchanted Rose. This bar has a very special drink that tells a story as it is being made. I chose this as an upgrade from CBR because of the elegant design inside. There are marble tiles has some design in them of popular Disney characters. My con (has a personal reasoning. Nothing on the resort itself.) must be that it feels extremely formal. If I am going to Disney, I do not want to worry about coming to a resort that makes me feel as though I should be wearing a suit and tie.

#5: Art of Animation (AoA)

Finishing off this first part of the list is the Art of Animation Resort. At this resort, you have the luxury of being shrunk down to the size of the characters. This resort showcases 4 different movies: The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars. Now I know you are wondering why I think a VALUE RESORT is higher than both a moderate and deluxe resort. I woke up one morning and I did a lap around Hourglass Lake (The Lake that surrounds in between AoA and Pop Century.) During my walk around the lake, I got to see both resorts in different ways. Art of Animation I got to see all the characters and resort areas and each one was perfectly landscape and designed to the areas movie. Another reason why I ranked this higher is because of the Disney Skyliner. (Find out why I love Disney Skyliner here.)

This is just the first part of a 2-part list because I could go on and on and on about my picks. What is your favorite Disney Resort based on appearances? Let me know in the comments below! #DisneyWorldResorts.
