Star Wars Tuesday! (Hollywood Studios)

Our Tuesday began as a rope drop Tuesday. We woke up and were out the door by 7:30, and we arrived at the park by 8:15 where we were running all the way to Galaxy's Edge!

I did Rise of the Resistance the last time I was there, however, I did not get to see the full line queue with all the props and designing. One of my favorite things about Disney Imagineers is that they can go into full detail on the design of a new space. Looking at Rise of the Resistance, you can tell that they were designing it for long lines where each room had something different. I love how they broke up the line and introduced the story of the ride with each room.

A good portion of our day was spent in Batuu, and we broke up the day as we went along. After Rise, we swung by Ronto Roasters to get a morning snack of a breakfast Ronto Wrap. (Will always be a favorite and must-do in Galaxy's Edge.)

After our small break for food, we returned to Batuu to see if we can fly the Millennium Falcon...Highlight: Nyx screaming “Punch It”. Turns out we did well where we got level of Pirate for our attempt.

By the time we got out of Millennium Falcon, it was already about 11:30. We all hung around Batuu and took in the ambiance…I even got a soda that tasted similarly to Diet Coke.😉After our wait we headed into the Droid Depot to create new members of our families. R2-N4ME now has a brother! His name is R3D.😂 Nyx created R7- as their first droid!

A Disney World trip would not be complete without…a rainstorm. Yup! After we got out of Droid Depot (and I got a cardboard carrier for my droid) the rain started to come down. We took some shelter in the Black Spire Outpost. We waited for a while, then we went for another snack…a regular ronto wrap. I have never tried the regular Ronto wrap before, and it was on my snack list. To be honest, I would rather have a breakfast ronto wrap than having a regular one.

We took a small break from Batuu for a couple of hours as we waited for our next reservation. We headed over to Muppetvision 3-D as one of our first attempts to dodge the rain. Muppetvision is a very good rest attraction from your long days. (And a great way to beat both heat and rain.)

The rain tried to put a downer on our day, but we were not going to let that happen. Even by looking at this picture in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, you could tell the rain was not affecting my mood. There was no way we were going to get a little rain ruin our great day at Hollywood Studios!

After our snack at ABC Commissary, Nyx and I went off towards Galaxy’s Edge as we wait for our reservation to go see Savi’s Workshop. This is an item that was on Nyx’s bucket list and I was so happy to see their expression as we went through the entire process of building a lightsaber. Of course, Nyx would choose a red lightsaber. To build a lightsaber, the cost is around $219.99 + tax. Savi’s workshop is an incredible place for one builder and one person who can watch. (Used to be 2 before the pandemic). We ended our trip over at Hollywood Studios with a quick trip to Oga’s Cantina. I am so happy I went to Oga’s with Lauren, Nyx, and Chelsea. Oga’s Cantina is a little bar in Batuu with some crazy drinks. My favorite drinks were the Fuzzy Tauntaun and the Jedi Mind Trick. The bar felt like you were at the cantina. We had DJ-Rex spinning the best tracks and everyone was having a good time (even though someone broke the Hyperdrive).

We ended the day with a trip to Disney Springs where we had our dining reservation of the day! We had dinner at The Edison, a restaurant that embraces old school by sending us back to the 20s. The Edison had a good burger! Afterwards we split up for a minutes and Lauren and Nyx went to Amarette's to go pick up some deserts, then we went back to the hotel.
