It is currently 6 days until Christmas and I am so excited! My friend just came back from her trip to Disney (Thanks for the Photos Kristie!), and she loved seeing all the Christmas decorations. And of course, I am not nearby to go to Disney, so I am trying to find ways to get into the Christmas Spirit. The DIS gave so many great ways to be able to get into the Christmas spirit that I just had to share with y’all! To Start off, let’s talk about the tree.
First, my tree might look bare-bones (because there aren't many ornaments on there but the ones on there have the most meaning), but it is full of the holiday spirit. I have a star at the top that lights up the room with cheer. I am always a fan of the holidays, especially Christmas. Christmas lights, the music, the positivity… it’s just all so amazing! One of my favorite things to see during the holidays are photos of Christmas trees and the Trees at Disney World always seem to top each other each year. It’s a great way to start getting in the holiday cheer.
Disney has so many options for Christmas Movies on Disney Plus! Some of the holiday classics on Disney Plus are the Home Alone Series, Jingle All the Way, and The Santa Clause. Now there are other shows and movies that you can feature through the holidays like Hawkeye, Frozen (1 and 2), and even just the yule logs (Very cool while sitting around the Christmas tree).
The DIS has so many other things that they list for things they suggest. Some of those are making drinks, making Christmas cookies, and using creativity to find other ways to make Christmas magic for your family’s home.
The list from The DIS has so many different things on there. But I am going to add one more to this list: Being in a Car. My favorite thing to do during the holidays is to hop in my car, turn on the radio (especially the Christmas radio stations), and then just drive. This is a memory that will always be in my mind because of my aunt and my grandmother. Every weekend we would hop in the car and just drive around the neighborhoods and just look at the Christmas lights in the area. My aunt and I would just rate the Christmas lights. When there are not any lights, we would turn up the radio and sing Christmas carols!
Christmas is a time for everyone to be around the family and enjoy their time together. This is my first year without my Nana and she always had so much Christmas spirit and I want to keep her spirit alive. When my nephew is old enough, I want to introduce him to my Nana's tradition and go to look at the Christmas lights!
What are some of your favorite Christmas Traditions?
